Kamloops Fishing Report

The Kamloops Fishing Report (updated June 16th)

Fishing this week has been spotty due to weather. Most of the Kamloops area lakes are fishing well when weather permits. There are hatches of chironomids, mayflies, and small sedge. There have been reports of chironomid bombers hatching at a number of lakes, and the fish are starting to key on mayfly nymphs.

Try using black, brown, tan, and olive chironomids as well as pheasanttail nymphs; others to try are black and maroon micro leeches. A number of lakes are fishing good early in the morning, so get out and try your luck.
